Meet Our Practitioners

Dr. Chala was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He attended the University of Calgary where he earned his bachelors degree and played Division I collegiate soccer and semi-pro ice hockey. Dr. Chala spent the next four years in San Jose, California where he attended Palmer College West, earning his doctorate in Chiropractic. While at Palmer College, Dr. Chala was student president and studied many adjusting, healing and rehabilitative techniques. While doing his internship he was able to provide chiropractic care to professional hockey, football, soccer, volleyball and baseball players, triathletes and professional golfers.
Now living in Lufkin, Texas, Dr. Chala brings his extensive chiropractic experience to the families and athletes of East Texas. He’s already got involved in many sports groups including Angelina college Athletics, Hudson & Lufkin baseball and softball, Angelina Youth soccer, golf at Crown Colony and fitness/weight training. Dr. Chala’s approach to treatment focuses on the principle that optimal joint function is based on proper soft tissue function and vice versa. With his comprehensive knowledge and sports background he’s able to prescribe individualized exercises and stretches.for each patient. He utilizes various soft tissue therapy’s including active release therapy (myofascial release therapy), traction/decompression therapies, rehab modalities, in addition to traditional chiropractic adjusting techniques. He is proficient and techniques such as Palmer/Diversified, Thompson Drop, Flexion-traction, and Activator. Emphasis is also placed on rehabilitation to improve strength, flexibility and mobility.

LMT Jamie Symank has been practicing massage therapy for over 6 years. She earned her massage certificate in Lubbock, Texas. Jamie is married to Eric, who is a high school basketball coach at Central ISD. Together they have 3 boys. Wesley (7 years old), Caleb (4 years old), and RJ (2 years old). She is well versed in the importance of preventative health through massage therapy. She works at keeping the body’s bio-mechanics working properly through her skill set of varying massage techniques including deep tissue, sports massage, Swedish, and reflexology. She enjoys playing basketball, cooking, baking, and being with her boys.
LMT Anthony Doss was born in Nacogdoches, Texas and was raised in Hudson. Graduated from Hudson High School in 2014 and then attended Angelina College as a pitcher for their baseball team for 1 year. After that he moved to Houston, Texas and began schooling for massage therapy at Texas Center for Massage Therapy or currently known as Cortiva Institute. He is trained in Russian sports massage, deep tissue, trigger point, Swedish and Reflexology and understands the benefits these different modalities can have on the body. He is a recent graduate and is looking to create a great career in sports massage and rehab here in Lufkin . He enjoys spending time with family, hanging out with friends and raising his young daughter Paisley (14 months old).
